Welcome to SarvaMangalaMatri.com (SMM)
We respectfully invite you to read these Terms and Conditions with due care and attention. By choosing to access, browse, or otherwise engage with the Website, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Should you not wish to be governed by these provisions, you are courteously advised to refrain from using the Website.

These Terms and Conditions, together with all applicable policies incorporated herein by reference, form the complete and binding framework regulating your association with Sarvamangala Matrimony. This document constitutes an official electronic record under the provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

In these Terms, references to "SMM member" shall mean the end user accessing the Website/services. The terms "You" and "User" shall be interchangeably used for "SMM member." "SMM Services" means a collective reference to the services provided by smmatri.in.

Scope

The database of Sarvamangala Matrimony (SMM) is arranged into subsets and regions, ensuring members may navigate with ease. According to chosen preferences, individuals may be accorded complimentary or subscription-based access to search and view profiles. The Website provides the facility to bookmark or shortlist profiles which align with your partner expectations.

SMM offers a dignified and secure environment where individuals may voluntarily register by completing mandatory fields. Once registered, members are empowered to explore suitable profiles from the community of existing users, with the objective of fostering lawful and meaningful matrimonial alliances.

1 Registration Prerequisites, Membership Eligibility & Admission Rights

A. Criteria

Membership with SMM is a privilege reserved for individuals who share an Indian identity or heritage. Eligible applicants include:

  • Citizens and Nationals of India
  • Persons recognized as Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)
  • Non-Resident Indians (NRI) residing abroad
  • Individuals of Indian lineage or ancestral descent

B. Member Declarations

By enrolling as a member, you solemnly affirm that:

  1. You meet the minimum legal age of 18 years (female) or 21 years (male).
  2. If in the process of divorce, you may register by clearly stating status as "Awaiting Divorce."
  3. If residing outside India, you are legally competent to marry under the laws of your country of residence.

C. Consent for Representation

Where a profile is created or accessed on behalf of a prospective bride or groom, such action shall be deemed to signify that you have obtained their explicit consent for both the creation of the profile and the use of the SMM Website.

D. Registration Details

Your association with SMM is expected to be undertaken with fairness, honesty, and sincerity. Members are required to furnish true, accurate, current, and complete information during registration, including recent photographs. If SMM discovers information is untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete, SMM retains the absolute right to suspend or terminate membership without prior notice and membership fees paid shall be forfeited.

Duplicate profiles are strictly prohibited. SMM reserves the right to suspend or terminate duplicate profiles without notice. Membership is strictly personal and non-transferable.

Prohibition on Synthetically Generated Information (SGI): Users shall not upload, publish, transmit, or share any content constituting SGI — including AI-generated images, deep-fakes, or synthetic media. Any such attempt shall be deemed a material breach and may result in immediate account termination and reporting to competent authorities.

2 Content Governance and Compliance

A. User Obligations

Members bear primary responsibility for ensuring that any material they upload or share is genuine and lawful. Submitting SGI, whether knowingly or through negligence, shall be treated as a breach of these Terms.

B. Categories of Prohibited Material

Users must refrain from publishing or transmitting content that:

  • Impersonates another person without consent
  • Misleads or deceives in a manner likely to cause harm
  • Portrays any individual in a sexually explicit form without authorization
  • Undermines the sovereignty, integrity, security, or public order of India
  • Contravenes any prevailing law

C. Monitoring, Enforcement & Removal

SMM retains the authority to independently evaluate whether content qualifies as SGI and may employ proportionate technical safeguards, including automated detection tools. Where SMM receives lawful instructions from a competent authority, unlawful material shall be removed within prescribed timelines.

D. Account Security

All login credentials — user ID, password, OTP, and other authentication details — must be kept strictly confidential. SMM will never request your password. You accept full accountability for every activity conducted through your account.

3 Role and Responsibility of SMM

  • Profile Handling: SMM publishes registered details on an "as is, as available" basis and makes profiles visible to other registered members.
  • Search Interface: SMM's role is limited to offering a digital interface. The platform does not provide personalized assistance in conducting searches.
  • Automated Matching: All search results and suggested matches are generated automatically based on member-set partner preferences.
  • No Matrimonial Guarantee: SMM does not guarantee specific outcomes from use of its services.
  • Data Protection: Sensitive user information is safeguarded through authentication protocols, access controls, and encryption technologies.
  • Verification: SMM does not authenticate or endorse the accuracy of information in member profiles. Users are responsible for independently verifying credentials of other members.

4 Role and Responsibility of SMM Members

  • Members must secure their profile with a strong password and keep login information confidential.
  • Members are solely responsible for verifying authenticity of prospect's details including marital status, education, financial standing, and health.
  • Members must upload a recent photograph not older than three months.
  • Members are expected to disclose relevant health details, including pre-existing medical conditions.

Prohibited Conduct

Members must refrain from:

  1. Engaging in financial transactions with prospects or seeking/providing monetary assistance
  2. Using abusive, offensive, or inappropriate language
  3. Making discriminatory or racially insensitive remarks
  4. Sharing confidential personal information such as bank details
  5. Entering into physical relationships with prospects prior to marriage
  6. Violating any applicable law
  7. Mentioning or promoting other matrimonial services in personalised messages
  8. Using bots, scripts, chatbots, or any automated programs to access SMM

Members should remain alert to prospects who request favours or money, use multiple phone numbers, avoid video or in-person meetings, or exclude family involvement.

6 Medium of Communication to SMM Members

By enrolling as a member of SMM, you expressly consent to receive communications — including service updates, alerts, and promotional messages — through e-mail, telephone calls, SMS, and WhatsApp. SMM's automated systems may transmit prospective profiles in the form of images, documents, messages, or links.

Members may customise the frequency of communication from SMM, including opting to receive updates only at specified intervals. However, SMM's Service Support Manager may still contact you for bonafide service-related requirements.

7 Confidentiality

Any feedback, suggestions, or inputs submitted by a member to SMM shall be treated as non-confidential information. SMM is entitled to use, reproduce, modify, or apply such feedback without restriction. You are not entitled to any form of compensation from SMM for the use of such feedback unless authorized by SMM.

8 Privacy of Membership

Any personal data or information you share with SMM shall be treated with confidentiality and processed strictly in accordance with the Privacy Policy, as well as all applicable laws and regulatory requirements. Should you disagree with the manner in which your information may be collected or utilised, you are advised to refrain from using the Website or its associated services.

9 Grievance Officer

If you encounter any violation by another user — including obscene, threatening, offensive, or harmful content — you may submit your concerns to:

This grievance mechanism is provided in accordance with Rule 3(11) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011. All complaints must be submitted in writing through email.

10 Disputes Between Members

All communication between you and any prospective match is undertaken solely at your discretion and risk. SMM expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for monetary exchanges, information shared, or interactions occurring between members through any channel.

SMM is under no obligation to supervise, mediate, or intervene in disagreements between members. SMM does not function as a broker, intermediary, or representative for any member.

11 Content Rights

All content, materials, and intellectual property displayed on the SMM platform — excluding user-generated content and third-party advertisements — are the exclusive property of SMM.

By submitting content to the platform, you grant SMM a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sub-licensable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, adapt, publish, display, and create derivative works from such content across any media format or channel.

SMM reserves the right to initiate legal action against individuals or entities that infringe upon its proprietary rights, including unauthorised copying, modification, publication, or commercial exploitation of SMM's proprietary content.

12 Third-Party Websites

Members expressly acknowledge that no external websites — whether competitive, similar in nature, or otherwise — may be promoted, referenced, or endorsed on the SMM platform, either directly or indirectly.

SMM retains the absolute and unrestricted right to introduce, modify, suspend, enhance, or discontinue any aspect of its services at any time, without prior notice.

13 Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall SMM, its management, officers, or authorised representatives be held liable to any member for any form of damages — whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential — arising from the use of the Website or any SMM service.

SMM's aggregate liability shall, at all times, be strictly limited to the amount paid by the member for the specific paid package concerned. No liability shall extend beyond this amount under any circumstance.

SMM shall not be responsible for incorrect, unsuitable, or unsuccessful matches arising from incomplete or inaccurate profiles. SMM bears no responsibility for any financial dealings conducted between members.

14 Expiry of Membership Benefits

Upon the expiry of your paid membership, any unused phone call credits or SMS entitlements shall lapse. Similarly, access to contact information of SMM members previously viewed shall cease unless the membership is renewed.

If you renew your membership, any unexpired phone call credits or SMS entitlements from the previous term shall be carried forward to your renewed account, effective from the date of renewal.

15 Mode of Payment & Refunds

Payments may be effected through cash, cheque, net banking, debit card, credit card, UPI, RazorPay, RTGS, or NEFT, strictly in accordance with prevailing Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines. Activation of paid SMM services shall be contingent upon realisation of the payment and an additional processing period of 24 business hours.

All payments made to SMM are strictly non-refundable. Membership is personal and non-assignable. Payments once made for SMM services cannot be transferred, assigned, or adjusted towards any other product or package.

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

SMM offers a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee, subject to all of the following conditions being met:

  • Minimum of 3 photographs uploaded to profile
  • Profile verified with a valid Government ID
  • Profile completion score of at least 80%
  • Messages sent to at least 10 mutually matching profiles within first 30 days
  • None of the messages initiated by the user received a reply
  • No phone number accessed or consumed from the membership
  • Applies only to self-serve packages, not Dedicated packages

16 Renewal of Membership

Members may renew paid memberships prior to the expiry of the existing term. Accounts shall be subject to automatic renewal if such feature has been opted for. Upon initial subscription, you acknowledge that your membership shall automatically renew upon expiry for the same duration at the last paid price.

If you do not wish to continue with automatic renewal, you must cancel by emailing care@smmatri.in.

17 Additional Terms for NRI Customers

All memberships and services shall be governed by the laws of India. Parties shall first attempt to resolve disputes amicably through informal discussion. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to individual arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, conducted in English, seated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, before a sole arbitrator appointed by SMM.

18 Dedicated Service Guarantee

The Dedicated Service Guarantee shall be applicable solely to users who meet the following criteria:

  • The user has availed the Assisted Service for the very first time
  • At the time of the welcome call, the user possesses at least 100 matching profiles based on declared partner preferences
  • The user has not subsequently narrowed or altered partner preferences once the Dedicated Service has commenced

19 Termination

SMM reserves the absolute right to terminate membership or suspend/delete your profile at its sole discretion, without prior notice, in the event that you:

  • Solicit physical or financial favours from other registered members
  • Provide false, misleading, or incorrect information on the Website
  • Engage in fraudulent, unlawful, or illegal activities
  • Breach any provision of these Terms and Conditions
  • Misappropriate or impersonate another member

Either party may terminate membership by serving 7 days' written notice. All amounts paid up to the date of termination shall be forfeited. Upon termination, your right to access or use the Website and SMM services shall cease immediately.

20 Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

The registration of membership and all services provided by SMM shall be deemed to have been entered into within the territorial jurisdiction of Chennai, India. Members unconditionally agree that all disputes arising out of or in connection with SMM services shall be governed exclusively by the laws of India and shall be subject to the sole and exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

21 Standard Against Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse

Age Restriction: This platform is intended strictly for individuals aged 18 years and above. Access by persons under the age of 18 is expressly prohibited.

SMM strictly prohibits the posting, uploading, or sharing of any content that depicts, promotes, or exploits children in any form, including child pornography or sexual abuse. All user-generated content is subject to scanning and monitoring to prevent the upload or distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

Any content violating this Child Safety Standard shall result in immediate suspension of membership and removal of the offending material.

Feedback, concerns, or reports relating to CSAM may be submitted to admin@smmatri.in. Users are also encouraged to report such instances directly to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.

Acceptance of Terms: Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before availing services. By accepting and utilizing the services, you acknowledge and consent to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms are subject to change from time to time — members are encouraged to review this page periodically.
